Chemical Concept Demonstrated: Depends on the reaction used with the pitcher

Demonstration:

  • The liquids (seperated into two different sections of the pitcher) are poured through the shared spout.

Observations:

    The liquids are mixed and the reaction occurs in a single motion.

Explanation:

    This isn't a chemical demonstration per se, but is instead a method to carry out other reactions.  The movie demonstrates a clock reaction, but any reaction involving the combination of two liquids could be carried out using a twin-barrel pitcher.
